Step 1: Materials To create your own fertilizer solution, you will need the following materials:

You can find these at any hardware store. Step 2: Cut the PVC into pieces To create your own fertilizer solution, you need to cut PVC pipe into pieces. The pipe should be about 1/4″ longer than the length of your desired hose.

Next, attach the tubing so that it comes out of the tank and connects to your sprayer.
3: Step 3: Flow Test and Calibration
After assembling the injector according to step 2, you are ready to perform a flow test and calibration. A flow test will ensure that no leaks occur in your system as well as determine how much fertilizer is being applied per minute.
To perform this test:
- Fill up an empty bucket with water and place it on a scale.
- Attach your injector to the bucket’s spigot and turn on the garden hose. Be sure that it is not set too high or too low when you do so.
