Prodiamine 65 WDG (WG stands for Wettable Dispersible Granule) is an effective pre-emergent herbicide for pre-emergent grass and broadleaf weed control. Prodiamine is flexible enough that it can be applied in both the spring and fall for season long crabgrass control. Prodiamine 65 WG also control bluegrass, spurge, witchgrass and more, and can be used safely on St. Augustine, Bermudagrass, Fescue and other common turf grasses (see label for complete list). Prodiamine 65 WDG is non-staining and can be mixed and applied along with fertilizer and iron solutions.

Description

Prodiamine 65 WDG is a broad-spectrum pre-emergent herbicide that offers weed control primarily for crabgrass and other broadleaf weeds. Prodiamine serves as one of the most effective weed control products on the market. With flexible application rates, it can be applied both during the spring and fall for season long crabgrass and broadleaf weed control. Prodiamine offers control over other common weeds including: annual bluegrass, spurge, witchgrass, henbit, knotweed, chickweed, foxtail, goosegrass and 31 other problem weeds. How to Use

Step 1:For smaller applications, determine how much Prodiamine 65 WDG you will need by first measuring the square footage (length x width) of your lawn. Depending on the weed you are trying to control and the turf type, the maximum application rate can range anywhere from 0.185 oz. to 0.83 oz per 1,000 sq. ft per calendar year.

For large applications with a professional spray rig the maximum rate can range anywhere from 0.5 lbs. to 2.30 lbs per acre per calendar year. Prodiamine 65WDG is to be mixed with water and/or liquid fertilizer, which acts as a carrier, at a minimum of 20 gallons per acre or 0.5 gallons per 1,000 square feet.

For example, if you are looking to control crabgrass in St. Augustine grass and measured 2,000 sq. ft. of turf to treat, you will need to apply between 0.72 to 1.66 oz. in one gallon of water to cover the 2,000 sq. ft. of area.

Step 2:Fill the spray tank 1/4 of the way with water or fluid fertilizer only and then begin the agitation process. Add the appropriate amount of Prodiamine 65 WDG to the spray tank and then add the rest of the required amount of water. To ensure you prevent wasteful overlap, we recommend also mixing in a marking dye.

Step 3:Make the Prodiamine application to desired areas with the spray nozzle on a fan spray setting for even coverage. For established plants, apply as a broadcast, over-the-top, or direct spray. For newly transplanted plants and ornamentals, wait for the soil around the plants to settle and water thoroughly before application.
