In soybeans and corn, Zidua® SC herbicide offers the lowest use rate of any Group 15 herbicide with broad spectrum control of small-seeded broadleaf weeds and grasses. Research trials have proven that Zidua SC herbicide provides residual control in corn and soybeans lasting up to two weeks longer than other herbicides. As the only solo product of its kind in soybeans, Zidua SC herbicide provides application flexibility from fall through early preplant to early postemergence in corn and soybeans. Zidua SC herbicide is also the only solo product of its kind in wheat.

It’s a new class of herbicide chemistry for wheat that offers the lowest use rate of any Group 15 herbicide with broad spectrum control of small-seeded broadleaf weeds and grasses. And it provides application flexibility from delayed-pre to early post in wheat. It’s also a superior tool for protecting fields from troublesome yield-robbing weeds and grasses, especially those resistant to glyphosate. For resistance management, Zidua SC herbicide helps growers manage weed resistance, providing outstanding control on weeds and grasses proven resistant to ALS-inhibitors, glyphosate, ACCase and triazines.

Description

Zidua Herbicide is a preemergent herbicide perfect for controlling annual grasses, sedges adn annual broadleaf weeds. The Zidua label will give you a complete list of weeds controlled. The main active ingredient in Zidua is pyroxasulfone. It may be applied in a single application or in sequential applications. It can also be applied in the fall to control weeds in conventional, minimum tillage, or no-till soybean production systems planted the following spring.

Zidua can be applied preemergence, preplant surface, early postemergence, preplant incorporated or in the fall to soybean for residual weed control. Verify with your local seed supplier before applying to soybean. Zidua herbicide is a selective rate-dependent residual preemergence herbicide for controlling annual grass weeds, sedges, and annual broadleaf weeds  that infest corn, cotton, fallow, peanut, soybean, sunflower, and wheat.

Features of Zidua Herbicide

Ten years of research have culminated in the discovery of pyroxasulfone — the breakthrough active ingredient in Zidua WG. Pyroxasulfone is an isoxazoline, a new class of chemistry that delivers higher intrinsic activity and a broader spectrum of control of small-seeded broadleaf weeds and grasses. Zidua WG acts to inhibit very long chain fatty acid synthesis as a Group 15 (WSSA) herbicide. It is a root-and-shoot growth inhibitor that controls susceptible germinating seedlings before or soon after they emerge from the soil.

Extensive field research demonstrates that Zidua WG provides superior residual control of resistant Palmer pigweed and waterhemp up to 10% better and up to three weeks longer than other preemergence herbicides such as dimethenamid-p, acetochlor or s-metolachlor .Zidua WG is the only solo product of its kind, providing growers with unmatched application flexibility from fall through early preplant and early postemergence. Quite simply, growers can determine their own schedule for using this remarkable herbicide. Effective rates are eight to 10 times lower than current commercial standards with similar use patterns. Zidua WG is also a perfect tank-mix partner for applications of Sharpen® herbicide, powered by Kixor® herbicide technology, for superior burndown and residual weed control.
